Ancestry updates East Sussex, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812

This is a major update. Ancestry now has 2,963,607 early East Sussex BMBs, part indexed parish registers with linked images, part parish register transcriptions.
When last listed on the blog, in May, there were only 398,334 records.
There’s no detail on what’s been added.

  1. Thank you for this update. This is huge news to me as I and my wife have many ancestors in this county. Any releases can only be good news to fill in those gaps.

    I acquired a lot of the records from the Keep Archive at Falmer in Sussex and would have taken many years to complete. I can now concentrate on their other other records they keep such as Bastardy Examinations, Removals etc.
