This new collection comprises over 257,000 index records and spans 1301-1858. In them, you’ll find information such as name, year, residence, and title – which will often include their occupation and birthplace. There’s usually a link to the catalogue of the Norfolk Record Office where the original is held.
From the Archdeaconry of Norfolk, these records cover 14 Deaneries: Blofield, Breccles, Brisley, Flegg (including Greater Yarmouth), Holt, Ingworth, Lynn (including King’s Lynn), Lynn Marshland, Norwich, Sparham, Taverham, Thetford, Toftrees, and Walsingham.
Norfolk Banns and Marriages
Over 65,000 records from 361 parishes are added to this collection as early as 1702. Each transcript has an attached image. For post 1 July 1837 marriages, it is the local copy of the marriage certificate.
