When searching for an elusive person in your family tree, you greet each new database with hope. Mine, for my first cousin twice removed, were dashed. Nothing like his name, variously spelled, is found in this collection, new to Ancestry, of 8,807,213 Maltese BMD records.
Dated between 1500 and 1983, they come via The National Archives of Malta, in Rabat. The collection has many records written in Italian, also in Maltese, Latin, and English.
